To comply with Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia (BCA)AS1288-2006 and AS1428.1-2009 see the following:

• The strip is to be a minimum 75mm high solid band that extends edge-to-edge of the glazed panel and it must cover the full width (not stop short of the edges)
• It cannot be transparent and the colour must have a minimum 30% luminance contrast to the surrounding environment to ensure that it stands out and can be easily seen.
• The bottom edge of the safety strip should be positioned between 900mm and 1000mm from the floor.
